Since the release of the list of the new RDCs and RCCs, a lot has been said, and written, with Presidency Minister Milly Babalanda individually targeted for aligning.
The new appointees were welcomed as energetic hardworking men and women, many of who are youths expected to perform beyond expectation going by their commendable work in the various structures of the ruling establishment.
However some voices have been so critical as usual, some of whom had expected to be appointed, or had wished so for their henchmen whom they seem to have assured of sure deployment. Others in the system had desperately wished to be retained even when they knew their delivery at work had been called into question. The Commander President has an exclusive constitutional mandate to appoint and also disappoint based on what he deems fit, excluding regional and sectarian factors.
If he assigns responsibility today and the next day another is deployed, one should just be appreciative. It is practically impossible for all Ugandans (or all NRM members or Mobilisers) to be RDCs at the same time.
Attacks directed at the person of the Minister for Presidency and her team are engineered by shortsighted persons whose lies are not sustainable and have a short life span.
The Hon Milly Babalanda is a known performer, a God-fearing woman with a clean track record and no smear campaign can bring her down. While addressing Presidential Advisors at the close of their retreat at Kyankwanzi months ago, President Museveni commended Babalanda for the quality performance she has exhibited so far and also gave a brief history of her, meaning he has been following her for quite a long time.
When the mafias realize that one is appreciated by the populace and appointing authority, they launch smear campaigns against such people. Everyone has got their time, wait for your opportune time.
Does it mean when the President makes a Cabinet reshuffle dropping some, appointing others, etc that he has been bribed? It needs sober minds to come clear of this and accept reality. It is foolhardy to always think it must be you !!
