Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Mohammad Nsereko has been warned to stay away from People Power if he still wants to remain relevant as a politician.
MP Nsereko has been in the news for all the wrong reasons – according to People Power supporters – after he allegedly convinced Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi not to contest against President Yoweri Museveni come 2021 in return for a truckful of cash.
Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine is the Kyadondo East legislator and leader of the People Power pressure group.
Nsereko has however, come out to trash the ‘rumours’ saying he has ‘even never been to Kyagulanyi’s Magere home and he has no intentions to go there.
However, some members of the People Power army were not convinced by Nsereko, with most believing that he is out to ‘milk a cow that is only five months pregnant’.
According to Sarajoy Bakanansa, a Human Rights Activist and Marketing consultant affiliated to People Power, Nsereko should form his own movement since there is enough space or many movements so long as they are geared towards causing change in Uganda.
Below is Bakanansa’s full statement;
YOU WANT TO START MILKING A COW WHICH IS 5 MONTHS PREGNANT.
Watching Guvnor Ace and Isma, the self-appointed spokesmen for MP Mohammed Nsereko on their live video now. They claim Nsereko should lead the People Power movement because he is more qualified.
To stand for presidency in Uganda, one requires a minimum of an A level which both Bobi Wine and Nsereko have. President Museveni has led Uganda for 33 years with just an A level certificate because he never finished his degree in political science.
Both claimed Nsereko is more experienced. Yes, I agree he may be politically experienced but lacks incites and creativity to understand what Ugandans of today want. If experience was the determinant factor he would have started the people power movement long ago since he has been in Parliament for over 8 years. Wisdom comes from God.
Listening to the two spokesmen, it looks like they want to milk the cow they have not fed. They want to hijack a movement because it resonates with the 75 percent of the oppressed majority and now their boss think he is more experienced to steer the wheels.
Coming from a political background doesn’t make you a leader as they argued. Museveni’s father or mother were neither politicians but Museveni has forcefully led us for 33 years.
Yes Bobi Wine comes from the Ghetto and majority of Ugandans do. He has worked himself to the top. Everyone understands his story and relates to it what’s Nsereko’s story and how many Ugandans relate to it.
You claimed Bobi Wine’s fans abuse people, but Isma himself abused Bobi Wine’s wife and children, Museveni himself abuses people, his officials abuse people too. It’s the rotten state you can’t blame anyone.
Bobi Wine is not responsible for the lost morals of Ugandans. I think we need to blame the leader who failed to instill morals for 33 years.
Government officials steal public funds in broad day light and nothing is done. So where are the morals?
Finally I think to solve this, let Nsereko start his own movement there is enough space or many movements so long as they are geared to causing change in Uganda.
