Ugandans have been called upon to embrace investment clubs if they are to improve income and fight unemployment at household level in the country.

According to Godber Tumushabe, an International advocate for good governance, when people meet and work together as a team they can define their future instead of keep lamenting waiting for the government to provide everything for them.

Tumushabe made the remarks on Friday 7th. September, 2018 while presiding over the first anniversary ceremony of The Corporate Club, Uganda held at Jerusalem Corteges Ntungamo Municipality.

He challenged the public to always think big and never fear to fulfil their dreams saying that being determined and focused they can reach at their destination.

is a community based organization registered with Ntungamo district local government which was started in September 2017 aimed at investing in land acquisition for every member, helping each other in the time of need among others.

The group of 22 members has so far secured two plots of land at 14m shillings and the Corporate Club Uganda is only investment club selected from Ankole region to participate in battle for cash organised by DFCU bank, NTV Uganda and PCW.

The Ntungamo District speaker Atuheire Elijah commended the members for unity appealing them to be trust worthy with member’s finances in order to steer the development of the club for future generation.

Speaker Atuheire noted that some clubs are the verge of collapsing or collapsed before its first anniversary due to poor management and misuse of member’s funds which shouldn’t be the case.

The Corporate Club Uganda chairperson Natamba Edward congratulated all members upon cerebrating their first birth day and urged them to be committed for the betterment for the club.

The customer services officer DFCU Ntungamo branch Micheal Atuhureire hailed the club members for being visionary which enabled them to be selected among many clubs in Ankole region to participate in Battle for cash competition.

Other speakers were Eng. Mubiru Frank of telecom companies, Atukwatse Miriam the Banking officer DFCU and Nantege Liz from Centenary bank Ntungamo branch.

Rumanzi Perezi auctioned a wall clock which fetched 1.2m shillings and an over 1.5 m shilling was raised.

The function was climaxed by cutting of a cake.
