Police in kisoro district is investigating circumstances under which one died in a fatal accident.
It’s alleged that On 7/8/2018 at around 19:30, at Nturo trading centre, along Nturo-Nyarusiza road, Kisoro district, one Rwangagye Gabriel, 85 was knocked dead.
The deceased is a resident of Rusisiro village, Mabungo parish, Nyarusiza subcounty .
The deceased was knocked down by motor vehicle registration number UAV 240P, Suzuki car grey in colour.
He was rushed to Mutolere hospital where he died later.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson says that the Driver was not identified as he abandoned the car at the scene and ran away .
The car is parked at Nturo trading centre as it was defleated by the mob.
Maate adds that the Cause of the accident was suspected to be reckless driving.
The scene of crime was visited by Oc operation kisoro.
This case has been registered at kisoro police under file number TAR 32/2018.
