Journalists in uganda under their umbrella body Uganda journalists association (UJA) the body that unifies journalists in Uganda one Saturday went to polls to vote for their new leadership in the process that left some people wondering the peaceful tactics employed in the voting process.
At 9am the voting process began with poling assistants followed by the voters who voted until 2:00pm and and the results were announced at 5pm.
Vision Group’s Kazibwe Bashir emerged winner for the presidential post after trouncing Daily Monitor’s Abubaker Lubowa.

After winning, Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira promised to work closely with all journalists including the one he contested with.
Kazibwe says he will start with setting up a SACCO in abide to improve the standards of journalists.
