Vipers lost their place at the summit of the table to Police FC following their 2-1defeat at Namboole stadium last Saturday.

The Venoms manager Jorge Miguel Da Costa wants his side to apply pressure on their league opponents Soana and reclaim top spot on Wednesday evening.

Da Costa hopes his men can get back to winning ways immediately at the the St Mary’s where they are yet to lose a game in the domestic league.

A victory will restore their lead on the log over rivals Police ,Onduparaka and KCCA.

“It is a great opportunity for us to win our game ,” Da Costa said. ” We need to respond as fast as possible and we believe we are going to get back to the top.

While the Kitende side dropped points away at the Cops,Soana were as well humiliated by Onduparaka 2-0 in Arua and the former will be targeting to pile more misery on the visitors.

The encounter will be the ninth ; the hosts have won 7, drawn once and scored 17 goals in the previous meetings.

There is no fresh injuries for the Venoms to worry about ahead of this tie.Only Duncan Seninde and Halid Lwaliwa are the only absentees.
