It seems the woes between celebrated Motivational Speaker Frank Gashumba and Kamwokya based NBS TV is far from over.

The battle sparked off last month when NBS sent Gashumba packing (he was hosting ‘The Eagle’ talk show) claiming that the management got complaints from some members of the public that the social critic was involved in fraud which allegations Gashumba denied.

Hill Water

According to Gashumba, Kin Kariisa, the NBS boss was being used by some people from Uganda Communications Commission and Mengo government to tarnish his name because he had negatively talked about some of them.

The Ssisimuka boss gave the station 24 hours to publicly downsize their claims and also apologize to him, which request the station management denounced.

Now, Gashumba has officially filed a civil case for defamation against the NBS and Pamela Adong (NBS’s Marketing boss) in particular.

In a court statement dated 6 April, 2017, the registrar has given NBS TV 15 days to write a statement of defense from the date of service of summons and if it fails, the plaintiffs will proceed with the suit and judgment may be given without its presence.

“Two weeks back, NBS TV published a letter that was meant to defame, to degrade Frank Gashumba in the public eye. With NBS, I have officially filed a civil suit for defamation,” stated Gashumba.

“In my entire life, I have never started war with someone but when someone attacks me, I have to fight back. So now we are going to fight through the courts of law.  Up to today I don’t understand why NBS wrote that letter but I am leaving no stone unturned. Yes they have tried burying us before, they didn’t know that we were seeds,” He added.
