Former Presidential Press Secretary, Tamale Mirundi has faulted all people who celebrate Valentine’s Day calling them ignorant and primitive.

While appearing on NBS TV today morning, the controversial politician said ignorant people are celebrating Valentine’s Day because they are pushed to do so but an intellectual like him couldn’t be forced to believe that today is a day of love.

According to Mirundi, in Africa we don’t express our love in public and when you go to Europe, you find people kissing in public yet they have highest rates of divorce.

“An African man doesn’t express love in public, we express love in bedroom.” Mirundi said.

Mirundi further inquired the meaning of putting on red on Valentine’s Day thus saying if red symbolizes love, them Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party should be voted into power regarding the love they have since they put on red as their symbol.

“What does red symbolize? If people dressed in red are the ones who have love then let’s vote for UPC,” Mirundi lamented.
