Yesterday news regarding the arrest of Hajj Abdul Kiyimba, the Nsangi LCIII chairman spread like wildfire on social media.
It was alleged that Kiyimba’s arrest was ordered by President Yoweri Museveni after finding out that he was among the associates of former IGP Kale Kayihura who committed crimes against Ugandans.
It was further stated that Kiyimba was among the illegal beneficiaries of police fuel under Kayihura’s reign.
However, the NRM cadre has come out to pour cold water at the arrest claims.
Kiyimba who is currently in USA on official duty, said all the rumours leveled against him are being spread by his political rivals who don’t wish him any good.
He accepted the fact that he was once Gen. Kayihura’s friend but three years back he decided to call off the relationship after the embattled army officer disowned him in public while at Kibuli.
