The leadership of Pallisa district and local communities have commended the desired and sincere services extended to them by the UPDF and EAC armed forces in the ongoing armed forces activities
Palisa district activities were launched by the State Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs incharge General duties, Hon Col (Rtd) Charles Engola. Minister Engola commended the people of Pallisa for the cooperation exhibited.
“ I thank you for having supported the UPDF during the five year protracted Liberation struggle that forms the basis for this anniversary.” Minister Engola Said.
“In the same spirit, I urge you to desist from all forms of peace distortion. We shall jointly work with EAC partner state armed Force’s to promote and enhance regional integration” He added.
The Minister was accompanied by the deputy commander of Land Forces’ Maj Gen Sam Kavuma who recognized and appreciated the continuous strategic relationship that enables UPDF to execute her mandate.
The district launch was earmarked by renovations of Out –Patient block and doctor’s office at Kamuge health Centre iii, and free medical health services offered to the wanaichi at Apopong and Agule Health Centres.
The launch was attended by the District Resident Commissioner, Ms Collins Obedi, Chaiman Local Council V, Mr Okurut John Micheal, Director National Leadership Institute (NALI) Brig Kashura Kyomukama among others.
