I am pregnant but don’t know if I am ready to be a mum – Flavia Tumusiime

NTV Uganda news anchor Flavia Tumusiime is pregnant.

Tumusiime tied a knot with fellow NTV presenter Andrew Kabura in a private wedding. Since then, concerned social media in-laws have constantly questioned the couple on when they are planning to be parents.

And now that she’s expecting, the 32-year-old took the news to her YouTube channel, saying that she is currently counting months to motherhood.

“Judging from the comment section you all know why I was away. But is it the cheeks that gave me away or it’s the arms. Oh yes we are expecting, we are going to be mummies. Yes I am going to be a mum but not going to share months of my pregnancy, now you all know,” she said.

Excited about her new journey, Tumusiime said that she has already started to worry on where she will be leaving the baby after her maternity leave is done, the university or schools were the child will be attending, the shoes, clothes and other baby stuffs.

“I was away because my first months of pregnancy were not nice, but I was told to look at its positive side. They told me feeling weak and sickly means the baby is growing so well. But I am fine now and we are just counting months. I don’t know if am ready to be a mum but am so happy and very excited,” she said.

A few months back, Mrs Kabuura told off people who were asking when she was planning to get pregnant, claiming that issues of having children are discussed between two people (couple).

“My Husband and I had a discussion at the beginning of our relationship about having kids. It’s not something we are rushing into. Matters of kids should be discussed between two people, you look at your ability to take on responsibility and other factors, then you go for it,” she said recently.
