City businessman Godfrey Kirumira has said that Lt Gen Charles Angina must apologise to him publicly for harassing him over the weekend.

It is alleged that the Kwagalana Group Chairman was on Saturday roughed up by Gen Angina’s guards before he was ordered to remove his shoes and sit down following a land deal gone bad.

According to sources, Kirumira who was chilling at his Muyenga-based Hotel International heard a tractor digging and widening the road near his hotel. He immediately reached out to the tractor operator and tried to stop him.

He was accused of trying to grab land. The businessman managed to flee for his dear life.

Following the incident, Luke Owoyesigire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson said Kirumira and Gen Angina met up later and discussed on how best they can solve the issues on a round table.

“For now Gen Angina and Kirumira are yet to get back to us but our CID department is closely following up the matter,” Owesigire said.

Now, Kirumira wants an apology from the Deputy Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and his soldiers who brutalized him.

“Gen. [Charles] Angina and your undisciplined soldiers, if you don’t apologise to me in public am going Court,” the businessman warned on Monday.

“How can you tell me to remove my shoes and sit down,” Kirumira further wondered.
