Who is behind TV star Justine Nameere’s bad luck?

Former NTV presenter Justine Namere’s financial problems have grown from bad to worse. To make the situation even worse, her sole source of livelihood her husband Raymond Kagimba has also been sent to Luzira prison for physically assaulting a Taxify driver that Nameere had refused to pay.

Her list of troubles sounds like Cindrella’s, and maybe, one day, she will meet Prince Charming. However, for now – she is tears.

Nameere was not like that. She was a good and ambitious girl who rose to stardom with her Life Stories show on NTV, before she threw in the towel and relocated to Urban TV with another show.

Before she left NTV, she thought she had grown so big and her show deserved more pay, but NTV management had seen enough of her and left her to go. She has since taken her shows to Urban and Salt TVs but unfortunately, they didn’t do well there.

Nameere’s life has never been the same since she left NTV and has walked from one problem into another! It is like a shadow of bad luck is following her.

Unfortunately, she has not changed her lifestyle to adjust to her new life. Instead, she aspires to appear richer, prettier and more fashionable.

Earlier this year, Watchdog Uganda reported a story of this couple’s troubles with their landlady tried to throw them out of the house for not paying house rent for over three months.

The landlady claimed that the couple was good at making excuses when it comes to paying rent and she was demanding them over Sh3.6 Million in arrears.

The current talk on social media is how the once aspirant for Bukoto East Member of parliament Justine Nameere has now failed to pay Taxify fares. She has left one wonder how much the Taxify can was demanding her. Some wonder why she didn’t take a safe boda which is cheaper if she didn’t have money!

Apparently, Nameere requested for a Taxify ride but on reaching to her home in Najjeera, the driver showed her the amount she was owed, only for Nameere to protest that the amount was too much. Police records show that Nameere refused to pay transport fare and she ran very fast to enter her house. But the brave Taxify driver couldn’t give up on his money and he followed her to the door steps. On reaching the house, her husband Kagimba came out and rained blows on the Taxify driver.

After this incident, the Taxify driver went straight to Kiira Division Police Station and opened a case of physical assault on Kagimba. Kagimba was arrested but later released on police bond after denying the charges.

On February 5 2019 when he reported to police as the bond suggested, Police had gathered enough evidence to take him to court. And on February 7, Kagimba was paraded in Courts of law and later set to Luzira Prison to pay for his crime.

Now Nameere is currently moving through her family members and friends to raise money to rescue her husband from prison.

Last year, Nameere made headlines as they exchanged verbal attacks with NTV news anchor Faridah Nakazibwe. Nakazibwe told off Nameere to stop stocking her husband. Nameere launched a social media fight against Nakazibwe who had already rest her case.

After attracting less attention from Nakazibwe, Nameere forwarded the case to police and also involved lawyers.

On the look of things, lawyers could be taking lots of Nameere’s money thus leaving her financially struggling. Maybe she has herself to blame – like they say – when you find yourself in a hole, the best thing is top digging.
