MASUUMI JUMA: Gen. Muhoozi’s Pronouncement Was Necessary To Cause Order In The 2026 General Elections

The CDF and Chairperson PLU Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has made a pronouncement that has surprised many of his followers; “All my millions of supporters. All the supporters of PLU. We Shall of us, as one man and without exception support exception support President Museveni in 2026. The Future belongs to our mighty God alone, and we shall triumph in his name. I want to announce that I will not be on the ballot paper in 2026. Almighty God told me to focus on his Army First. So, I fully endorse President Yoweri Museveni in the Next Elections” Gen. Muhoozi Posted on his official X account.

When we started the MK Project in 2018 that moved to MK Movement and now PLU (Patriotic League Uganda), many picked interest which attracted so many nomenclatures like Revolutionary Guards (RG) of Mr. Nzaire Shadrack, Silent Majority of Mr. Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool and Mr Micheal Katungi, Team Chairman of Mr. Toyota Nuwagira Micheal Kaguta, Original MK Army of Mr Balaam Barugaharah and many others.

All these groups had no clear sense of management and administration but showed love to Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba by starting birthday celebrations all over the country captured the attention of the world and scared many political activists

However, the MK Project that turned to PLU had three major agendas that some masqueraders didn’t know;

1. Uniting Ugandans with one love, to live, work, & develop together as One People, One Nation.

2. Solving the Youth’s future Concerns once & for all. Through supporting their Talent development and listening to activate their individual initiatives.

3. Systematically, influence a peaceful transition of Power From our Revolutionary Leaders to the young generation of our time, with MK as our Brand & Generational Leader.

Most of the followers of the MK Project-MK Movement-PLU didn’t master the order of these three major objectives and went contrary by fronting the third objective so much and even those who knew about them, did not have a proper work plan on how the above objectives could be successfully implemented as the compared to the vision bearer.

They showed an early interest in getting power, where some PLU Mobilisers started laying strategies to displace the incumbents from their seats of leadership which caused panic among the NRM Party Leaders, where MPs could not settle in Parliament.

We also saw some members of PLU getting involved in dubious acts because they sit next to Gen. MK whom they prematurely assumed to be the next commander-in-chief by 2026.

This was an eye opener to many of the NRM leaders, who tasked the NRM Party Chairman and the President of the Republic, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Explain to them the program of MK Project-MK Movement and now PLU, which the president didn’t do instead, he said “those who are near to my son Gen. MK are disgruntled self-seekers but, I and mamma Janet will continue to engage Muhoozi”.

As time went on, Gen. Muhoozi took charge of the MK Movement nomenclatures that were supporting him, merged them, and selected particular leaders to assist him in administering it as one group PLU given his busy schedule.

When this pronouncement of not standing for presidency in 2026 was made, it was not a surprise to some of us who initiated the project because we realized it long time ago that a group of people masqueraded with bad intentions, driving us off the original program, starting conning people in the name of Gen. MK, fueling chaos between Gen. MK and his Family members to the extent of trading a bad image that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is not in good terms with his father Rtd. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni which was not right.

From a bigger perspective, Gen. Muhoozi, every energetic and resourceful military service officer, could space for his name to appear on the ballot paper when his father the commander-in-chief has not given him a chance to retire from the army and endorse him for Presidency as well which not possible given the time left to the general elections was not suitable.

Therefore, Gen. Muhoozi’s pronouncement for not standing for presidency 2026, was ultimately and extremely deserving to cause order in the political scene because Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugabe may be the Next president but not as early as 2026 based on the analysis.
