Police in Rukungiri District are hunting for a yet to be identified vehicle that knocked a 51year old health worker who died on spot.
The accident involved a car and a motorcycle registration number UFA 327 D Bajaj boxer red in colour ridden by one Byaruhanga Lawrence, a health worker attached to Kebisoni health centre and resident of Kishanda 11 cell Buyanja Subcounty county in Rukungiri district.
This occured on Saturday morning at around 4am at Omukiragiro trading centre along Rukungiri Ntungamo road.
Elly Maate,the Kigezi regional police spokesperson speaking to our reporter said the hunt is on for the vehicle that caused the accident.
“Police was notified, visited the scene and body was taken to Rwakabengo health centre mortuary for postmortem while the motorcycle is at Police pending IOV inspection,” Maate said.
