The Ntungamo District woman MP Beatrice Rwakimaari has decried the increased cases of moral decadency and promiscuity in the district attributing it to females who tempt motorcyclists along the ways.
Rwakimaari revealed that most women and young girls are ‘forcing themselves onto boda boda men along the way to their destinations urging women to stop the habit.
She lamented that it is no longer boda boda men forcing women into sexual intercourse rather women who sit on motorcycles half-naked and start touching men thus ending up in the evil acts.
Rwakimaari made remarks on Tuesday while launching Katojo Boda Boda Association in Nyakisa Nyabushenyi sub county, Kajara county, Ntungamo District.
She said unlike in the past when motorcyclists used to force women in sex in their ways after hiring them, these days it is women tempting them calling it abomination to feminine culture.
Katojo Boda Boda Association started in 2017 with few members and Shs500,000 to help them in income generating activities.
Rwakimaari also expressed concern over the lawlessness in the country where by the motorcyclists are being killed day and night by unknown assailants urging them to security conscious if they are to curb the vice.
The former aspirant Ntungamo district woman MP Joslyn Bata Kamateneti appealed to them to mind about the welfare of their families instead of indulging themselves in sexual acts outside their wedlock saying that it may ruin their life.
She contributed Shs1m towards their savings.
Kamateneti pledged to contribute half of the money towards the buying of helmet for each member in the association.
Abeneitwe Dennis Bitama, the chairperson of Katojo Boda Boda Association, requested government to decentralise the process of acquiring Licence and driving permit instead of long distance to regional offices.
