Entebbe based night spot De Bar is set to be reopened soon following successful negotiations with Entebbe Municipality Council.

De Bar was closed following the death of music icon Mowzey Radio who was beaten at the same bar before being admitted to Case Hospital while in coma.

Speaking during a meeting with Bar, Night club and beach owners that was organized by Entebbe Residence District Commissioner (RDC) Rose Kirabira on Friday, the Entebbe Municipal Council Assistant Town Clerk Dan Fred Lutaaya disclosed that the De Bar will be reopened after successful negotiations.

De Bar owners have been instructed to among others guarantee and assure their customers and general public of security when they visit the bar.

The bar owners have also been directed to issue a public announcement in gazetted national news Papers thirty days (30 days) prior to resuming normal business.

“All we need is De Bar proprietors to give confidence to the public that they will be given maximum security when they visit the Bar. De Bar proprietors also need to write to the respective security offices assuring them that the bar is safe before resuming business”, Lutaaya stated.

Ms Kirabira noted that there will be a re-registration of all bars in Entebbe.
