Police arrest man found with an AK47 gun in a bus park

Police on Sunday morning arrested a man and recovered an AK47 gun after getting a tip-off from their look out teams around Namayiba Bus Terminal.

Namayiba Bus Terminal Police team was able to call for back up from the Old Kampala Division and Flying squad to prevent a major catastrophe.

The operation was led by the DPC Old Kampala ASP Nyangoma Grace.

The suspect identified as Drici Henry 25 from Laropi village in Moyo District that was traveling by Divine Bus was arrested with a gun and two magazine containing 58 rounds of ammunition.

Drici has since been transferred to Flying Squad offices for further questioning.
