UBC’s action of branding President Yoweri Museveni on its van has brought an outcry among Ugandans.

After achieving  rights to air the just concluded IAAF World Cross Championship live, UBC went ahead to brand its van as a way of advertising that the event will be streamed live on all UBC networks but the mistake the management did was one, to brand using Museveni’s portrait.

Yuasa

Many Ugandans were angered yesterday on seeing a ‘Musevenised’ van. Many wondered why it had to be Museveni yet UBC would have used photos of Ugandan athletes whom to a large extent would have portrayed the meaning of the event well.

To some on seeing, the van they thought Museveni was going to be part of the race, and they couldn’t wait to see him reflexing his muscles.
