Despite calls to boycott Namboole, the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying game between Uganda Cranes and Cape Verde is the biggest (sports, entertainment) event of the the weekend. However, there are other fun events happening across the coubtry.
November 16-18
Mizizi Sound of the Nile festival
The legendary Oliver Mtukudzi is in the country, especially for this one, the first edition of the Mizizi Sound of the Nile Festival. It’s happening at Katulikire, Kiryandongo district at the Mizizi Cultural Hub. Organised by Sam Okello-kelo, th festival will portray Uganda’s impressive cultural heritage to the world. Other artistes to grace the the festival will include Ykee Benda, Myko Ouma, Habi Koite (Mali), Hoba Hoba Spirit (Morocco), Ndara Group (Uganda) among others.
Kitenge African Expo.
Came and exhibit your best fashion creations in Kitengi wear at Club Ambiance Masaka. Entrance to this event is Shs10,000 and Shs15,000, Ordinary and VIP respectively. The best fashionistas of the night will be rewarded after the event.

Breakfast Jam.
The 8th annual breakfast jam fest is back and going down at YMCA Wandegeya. Do not miss out on dance battles, workshops, performances, exhibitions, B-boys and B-girls featuring both local and international performers. Entrance to this Fest will be at Shs10,000 and free to the Kids below 10 years
BBQ and Beer Camping Festival.
To all Beer and BBQ lovers, the one stop place of this weekend is Breeze Ville Park Mukono, there is going to be a lot of fun activities like Bon Fires, Pool table, Sack race, Indoor games and many more. Fee is Shs15,000, and Shs50,000.
Banyakitara Cultural Revolution
‘The king of strings’ Kenneth Mugabi will grace this event aimed at bringing together ‘Banyakitara and friends’ at the Uganda Museum. The first ever, expect lots of games, music, food and all. Entrance is Shs10,000 for adults and free for children under 10 years.
November 18
Kwepena.
Come with your squad and the whole family for this child-friendly event. The event will be taking you back to the childhood games that embrace the African traditional Identity and games such as Kwepena, Dduulu, Bladda, Chokolo among others. Fees to the event will be Shs5,000. Venue is Legends Club, Lugogo.
