Lato Milk is the latest partner to come on board to sponsor the first all African Children’s Climate Change March that will take place on 28th July, 2018.

The event which will run under a theme ‘Our environment is our future and our future is our responsibility’, will start at 8am at KCCA City Hall Gardens.

Lato Milk is a healthy brand of dairy products aiming at applying the best of science and product expertise to provide families with nutritionally enriched milk products.

The dairy manufacturer’s Managing Director Mr. Shyam Kotecha said, “It is our responsibility to take care of the environment we live in for our own sake and for the sake of our Children. Lato Milk is therefore proud to be part of this noble cause, the first of its kind on the African continent,”

Apparently, the green team led by CEO and Founder of Little Hands Go Green Mr Joseph Masembe is visiting several schools and encouraging both pupils and teachers to take part in the march that is aimed at creating awareness as far as environmental conservation is concerned.

The march will kick start a month of Green activities leading up to the Annual Green Festival at Kololo Airstrip on Sun 2nd September.

This will be the first Climate Change March by children on the entire African continent and during the event, each child will march with a tree seedling.

” If you want to plant for 10 years plant rice, if you want to plant for 20 years plant trees But if you want to plant for posterity and for generations to come, Teach and empower Children. We owe it to the generations to come to hand over the mantle of environmental conservation to our children because they have a proprietary interest in the future it belongs to them let them learn to love and nurture it” disclosed Mr. Masembe.
