Police in Rukiga district is investigating a case in which a woman was allegedly murdered.
The deceased identified Tumuhimbise Medius, 45 years resident of Nyakagyera cell Nyarurambi parish, Rwamucucu Sub County in Rukiga District, was killed on Friday night at her father’s home.
According to police spokesperson Elly Maate, the deceased’s head was smashed and body burnt by yet to be identified suspects and for yet unknown reason.
Maate confirmed to watchdog Uganda that police are on ground to carry out investigations intol the matter.
He said the police sniffer dog was brought to the scene of crime and lead to various homes where occupants had already fled from their homes.
This case has been registered at Rukiga police under file number CRB 562/2019.
