Many of you got to know suspended Makerere University Researcher Dr. Stella Nyanzi after staging a nude protest at the University premises early last year and ever since then she had has never turned backed away from the public eye.

Apparently she is a new activist on block; she has that unique way of expressing her ideas which has left many wondering whether the lady is mentally stable or perturbed.

Since last year through her Facebook posts, Nyanzi has been making controversial rather abusive statements against the First Family especially to President Yoweri Museveni and his wife Janet Kataaha Museveni whom she accuses of taking Uganda for a family affairs trail.

During the 2016 Presidential elections, Nyanzi came out openly to declare her support to FDC’s four time presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye and before elections the academia revealed to the whole nation that she will burn her privates if President Museveni wins the race and since them she has been making stingy comments towards the Big man and the most recent stingy attack happened last week well packaged for the First Lady.

Nyanzi declared a battle against the First lady after her statement that the government never had funds to secure sanitary pads for the girl child. Nyanzi called Janet by all sort of abusive names and vulgarities blaming her of not caring for the poor Ugandans.

Of course I cannot cite any of her ‘dirty’ phrases she dedicated to the first lady since they are horrendous, copyrighted to Nalongos only (mother of twins).

Apparently, Nyanzi is trying to do what the government failed to do of securing and providing free sanitary pads for the needy young girls through her nationwide campaign.

A number of politicians, activists, civilians especially those you may refer to as the oppressed are in support of Nyanzi but also there are those who desist her actions saying that she requires immediate mental attention.

Recently, an NRM official Francis Babu said government should ignore Nyanzi’s vulgarity character but rather pick some important lines in her ideas.

Babu is not alone; there are very many politicians who are in support of what the researcher writes besides her abusive syndrome though a number of them decided to keep shut not to miss favours from their beloved masters.

When you analytically listen or read her posts, you will get to know that Nyanzi is actually advocating for the poor as well as condemning the leaders in power who have failed to act their roles to serve their masters ‘The Ugandans’.

On several occasions, through peaceful means government has not heard cries of suffering Ugandans and this could be one of the vital reasons why Nyanzi decided to opt for a different and cruel way for her to be heard in short a harsh way can act as an eye opener to reluctant governments.

We have heard of the different means used by freedom fighters like Nelson Mandela,Mahatma Gandhi , Marcus Garvey to win over the oppressors, could Nyanzi’s new activism twist make a change in Uganda or it’s just a walk of insanity?
