The Fort Portal Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Angalia Godwin Kasigwa Akiiki has stopped all illegal activities around Fort Portal State lodge.
“Not until everything is sorted to the last dot no one should dare compromise the President’s security around Fort Portal state Lodge,” Angalia directed on Wednesday.
This follows perennial encroachers including one Kazooba who around 8th March, 2022 tampered with the State Lodge fence and was halted indefinitely by then Deputy RCC Festus Bandeba because this illegal act was compromising the President’s security.
A team comprised of the City leadership and Security was recently charged with scrutinizing all the land titles in possession by the encroachers against the State lodge land, boundary opening and other processes.
“The due processes are still in progress. Security has been put on high alert to apprehend any one encroaching on the said State Lodge,” Angalia said.
