Senegal ends Uganda’s journey at AFCON

President  Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will today (Monday) evening host the Uganda Cranes contingent that took part in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.

The function is organised to congratulate the Cranes for its great performance that saw the team make it to the knock out phase of the tournament for the first time since 1978.

It will be held at State House, Entebbe starting 4pm.

The contingent left Cairo at 10.50pm on Sunday night and arrived in Entebbe on Monday morning aboard Egypt Air.

Cranes was knocked out of AFCON after a 1:0 defeat by Senegal on Friday.
