The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has lauded Post Bank Uganda for partnering with the Kingdom.
Post Bank sponsors several Buganda Kingdom activities, including the just concluded Kabaka Birthday Run which was graced by at least 60,000 runners on Sunday morning.
“The purpose of today’s meeting was to thank Post Bank for partnering with the kingdom for the Kabaka’s run. As a matter of fact Post Bank is among the first companies we partnered with in the Kabaka’s Birthday Run right from the beginning,” Katikiro Mayiga told Watchdog Uganda after at his office.
The meeting was attended by Post Bank Managing Director Steven Mukweli and the communications manager Jackie Kwesigwa.
“I want to thank Mr Mukweli and members of his team because the relationship we have has contributed greatly to the success of the Kabaka’s Birthday Run. In fact the run we had on Sunday is the biggest we have ever witnessed in Buganda. I want to assure you that we shall continue the partnership for the mutual benefit of the bank and the people of Buganda and Uganda in general,” he added.
Proceeds from the 5KM, 10KM and 21KM runs will be used to help sickle cell patients.
