The police have been urged to be extra vigilant especially during the festive season.
The message is contained in a statement signed by AIGP Assuman Mugenyi to all police units, regional police commanders, district police commanders and police stations, warning of a criminal/terror group which has been detected casing security installations with the intention to conduct attacks especially during the festive season.
“You must therefore be extra vigilant
and leave o room which could be exploited by the enemy to attack leave no room which can be exploited by the enemy to attack the facilities/installations,” the statement reads in part.
Although the said terror groups are being monitored, Mugenyi directs police to immediately enhance security of their installations and personnel in their areas of jurisdiction.
