The Ntungamo District Resident Commissioner on Saturday commended the government and President Museveni for bringing sustainable peace to the country and region at large.
George Bakunda, who was closing a one day leadership- Development training at Ankole Resort and Spar in Ntungamo Municipality noted that government has done its part by accelerating development through income generating programmes like prosperity for all and infrastructure reminding public that it’s their sole responsibility to eradicate poverty at household level.
The workshop was organised by Free and Rich Uganda, a community based organization in Ntungamo District.
The Free and Rich Uganda, was started in 2015 by Rodgers Aijuka the director Rap Tech Institute of Business to empower the youth of Ntungamo with- the life skills in Ntungamo District .
The chairperson Ntungamo district Denis Singahache hailed Aijuka for being visionary and lobber for the people of Ntungamo.
Singahache cautioned youth and general public to avoid lavish life style which may end their lives shortly before benefiting from their sweat.
Aijuka applauded the President and the First Lady Janet Museveni for entrusting him with prosperity for all money, which will be given to all organized groups in Ntungamo District.
Aijuka revealed that the government is planning to channel the prosperity for all funds through Free and Rich Uganda in a bid to weed out the remnants of opposition in Ntungamo district and eradicate poverty.
He said that the categories of people who will be facilitated are; youth development associations, welders, carpentry, youth boda boda, hotel operators, saloons, mechanics, PWDs, women sacco’s, taxi drivers, tailors and agricultural projects, produce buyers and all organized groups among others .
Aijuka noted that all organised groups will be facilitated with seed money (Entandikwa) and will be launched at the end of this month or early December this year in the District.
Over 400 parish and sub county coordinators of Free and Rich Uganda attended the training.
