Police in Rukiga district is investigating circumstances that caused an accident which claimed life.
Fatal accident involving motor vehicle registration number UBD 384M The hiace and Motor vehicle registration number UBD 143J hiace occurred on Sunday 02/09/2018 at Nyakanengo along Kabale mbarara road.
The Driver of motor vehicle registration number UBD 384M one Ainomugisha Jordan, 35 died on arrival to the hospital.
According to police, about 9 passangers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kabale hospital.
The vehicles were towed to Muhanga Police station pending inspection.
The passengers who suffered serious injuries include :
1.Mujunante Damasus Male, 45 from Kabale.
2.Tushabe Vicent Male, 32 and a resident of rukungiri district
3.Ndibanyendera Pascal male, 54 from Karengyeri Rubanda District.
4.Ainomujuni Juliano, male 29 Mukiga man of bukinda rukiga district
5.Baluku Derikasi, female 23, of mubende district.
6. mapendo mugeni, female 47, resident of Rwamwanja refugee camp.
7.Biryomumaisho zam zam, female, 40 resident of Kabale town.
8.Atuhaire Kellen, female, 29 of Kabale town
9.Rashid Maguru Male, 65 of kyaka Mubende district
According to the Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly maate,
Kiiza Abudu the driver of motor vehicle registration number UBD 143j is on run.
This case has been registered at Rukiga police under file number TAR 26/2018.
