Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine), Arua Municipality MP Kasiano Wadri and others have been granted bail by Gulu High Court on a non cash bond of shs5 million each.
Other MPs granted bail include Gerald Karuhanga, and Paul Mwiru, as well as a former MP for Makindye, Mike Mabikke.
Meanwhile, Court has ordered Wadri not to go to his constituency and to refrain from holding in celebratory processions, as this could interfere with the case investigation.
Bobi Wine and 32 others were arrested on 13 August, 2018 on the eve of Arua parliamentary by-election.
The arrest came after an incident in which security officers shot his driver Yasin Kawuma dead.
Bobi Wine and other suspects were recently charged with treason after allegedly making an attack on President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy.
Bobi Wine first appeared before General Court Martial that sat in Gulu where the state exonerated him from the charges of illegal possession of firearms that he had been early charged with.
