Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kiiza has today handed over office to the new Leader of Opposition Betty Aol Ochan.
During the occasion, Aol who is the Gulu Woman MP pledged to work hard and take over from where Kiiza stopped from to ensure that the opposition struggle is achieved.
Kizza was dropped early this month following her notable refusal to work with the current FDC leadership headed by Patrick Amuriat.
Last week while speaking on the floor of Parliament, Kiiza expressed appreciation for MPs for their support and good working relationship that enabled her serve in the role.
She noted that her political activities will continue especially in the fight for matters affecting common Ugandans.
“I have played my part. I will continue working for the good of all Ugandans to ensure that democracy and good governance prevails so that they get the service delivery they deserve,” Kiiza said.
