A clothes vendor got more than he bargained for after a woman he met at a restaurant and lived with for three weeks, allegedly stole his household items shortly after he had left for work.

She pressurized the husband Patrick Kusemererwa to secure her enough funds saying she needed to go home and check on her sick mother in Bududa.

As soon as the husband left for work, she made away with his clothes, phone, woofers, bicycle, bale of clothes and other household items.

The woman then boarded a boda boda only to be met by her husband carrying the items. He immediately reported a case to Old Kampala Police Station who swiftly responded, trailed and arrested the suspect.

The suspect identified as Hasifah Mudondo 22 years revealed to the investigators that she was tired of being with a mean husband and had got a new boyfriend.

The suspect is currently detained at Old Kampala Police Station vide SD REF. 52/19/07/2018 and is charged of theft.
