The local Council I and II chairpersons of kyanamira subcounty on Friday received their monthly payment of 10,000 shillings from government of Uganda.
The chairpersons received payments for a full year.
This was delivered to them by the Kabale District Chairperson, Patrick Besigye Keihwa at the kyanamira subcounty grounds.
While speaking to these local leaders, Mr Besigye thanked them for their commitment in serving government despite a number of hardships.
Kyanamira subcounty has got 114villages and 7parishes.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr Besigye Louis, the LC2 chairperson for Kigata parish thanked government for keeping it’s commitment to paying them their monthly token.
