Full list of killed people, survivors in Kiryandongo accident

22 people were on Saturday confirmed dead in the tragic accident which happened in Kiryandongo district along the Kampala-Gulu highway on Friday.

The accident happened in Nanda village, some 12 kilometres from Karuma Township in Nyamasha parish, Mutunda sub-county, Kiryandongo district.

The accident involved a Gaaga bus registration number UAK 562L and a cargo lorry registration number UAT 088J /UAT 321M while the third vehicle was a tractor registration number UAU 872M.

The bus traveling from Lira district to Kampala hit the tractor from its rear before it rolled and collided with an oncoming cargo lorry transporting crates of beer.

Nineteen of those killed died on spot while three succumbed to injuries from Kiryandongo hospital where they had been rushed for treatment.
