The Uganda National women football team- Crested Cranes, today continued with their residential training at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The team that returned from Kenya on Thursday morning is preparing or the Total Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifier (AWCON) first round qualifier second leg against the Kenya Harambee Starlets due on Sunday at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

The Kenyans lead 1-0 from the first leg won in Machakos on Wednesday after Lillian Adera’s strike gave the home team advantage at Kenyatta Stadium.

The players and the coaches had the whole of today morning reviewing their performance in Kenya, where all of them talked about the result in utmost good faith.

They later embarked on the drills on the artificial turf in the evening getting used to conditions similar to the Lugogo grounds where the game will be played.

After today’s sessions Head coach Faridah Bulega expressed her happiness over how the players have come into shape ahead of Sunday’s game.

‘The fitness levels are top notch.  Players who picked up knocks on Wednesday have improved. No injuries in camp’ Bulega said.

Kenya arrived on Friday morning and the team is accommodated at Noble Hotel-Ntinda.

Meanwhile FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein has confirmed that all players and registered officials of the clubs in the FUFA Women Elite league for the 2017/18 season will not pay to gain access to watch the match on Sunday.
