Police cancel Bobi Wine’s concert, ordered to return to Kampala

Police has again cancelled singer cum politician Bobi Wine’s concert which was scheduled to take place on Saturday in Kigumba in Kiryandongo district.

Posting on his Facebook timeline, the anti government politician said they had attained all necessary clearance from police but the same force cancelled his show in mid way alleging that it was an order from above.

After cancellation of the show, the Kyadondo East MP and his team were evicted from their already booked hotel rooms and ordered to return to Kampala.

It show be noted that recently Police had banned Bobi Wine from staging shows alleging that he incited violence and political unrest through his songs.

He wrote:

The police has cancelled our show mid way in Kigumba even when we had attained all the necessary clearance from the same police. They said it is an ORDER FROM ABOVE. 
We are now being evicted from our hotel rooms by police and ordered to drive back to Kampala. 
One can only imagine the kind of impunity that prevails in our Country.
