Police in Entebbe Division have arrested two men for allegedly hacking a boda boda cyclist and making off with his motorcycle.

The Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Police Owoyesigyire Luke, identified the deceased as Nadiope Moses, who hailed from Mawugulu village,Nalugala Parish,Katabi Town council in Wakiso District.

“All necessary procedures were followed, proper investigations carried out in a bid to establish the perpetrators”, Mr Owoyesigyire said.

The alleged murderer one Agaba Moses was arrested from Kyenjojo district by police and found in possession of the motorcycle Bajaj Reg. No UEP 451Z red in color which was robbed from the deceased on that fateful day after being strangled with a sisal rope.

Agaba confirmed he conspired with one Abdu and Mayengo Brian to rob the motor cycle with intentions of selling and sharing the money. Agaba also revealed that the deal was master minded by Abdu who identified the target motor cycle.

Agaba disguised as a passenger and hired Nadiope (deceased)together with his colleague Mayengo Brian to transport them to a certain school. Along the way, their colleague Abdu laid an ambush and threw a sisal rope around the victim’s neck. The victim tried to struggle for his dear life which prompted them to assist Abdu in tightening the knot that strangled him to death.

The trio dragged the body to a nearby forest and rolled away the motorcycle. Abdu is reportedly to have been murdered in a foiled robbery in Kyenjojo District.
