Entebbe Police is holding two men and woman on suspicion of kidnap,aggravated robbery and murder.
The suspects identified as Saddam Ainamani,Brenda Nganzi and Arinda Julius are believed to have been spearheading the groups that kidnap and rob in the area.
Nganzi Brenda a 22 year old is said to have requested to be taken on a casual date by Mambo Justus (not real name) at Fire and Ice Bar in Katabi Town Council in Wakiso District.
On arrival he was abducted and put in a motor vehicle,tired with a sisal rope. The trio drive their victim to the girls home where he was tied up, tortured and robbed off a sum of 380,000/=(Three hundred and eighty thousand shillings only)
He was later injected with chroloform that kept him asleep till wee evening hours. Mambo was then blindfolded,driven,damped into a bush near Lutembe Beach and given 3,000/=(Three thousand Uganda Shillings only) as his transport.
Mambo later reported to police giving details of kidnappers. A number of background checks were done including the vehicle registration number UAZ 771T used in the kidnap.
The vehicle indicated to belong to Osaire Edo Patrick (Director Posa Investments Limited) that was reported missing in Seeta Mukono.
A general inquiry file was opened to look into the disappearance of Osaire to which details revealed that he had been lured into travelling to Bushenyi to pay Nganzi’s family,the girl he had known since 2015 a visit. Inquiries reveal that Osaire(RIP) was then murdered and dropped close to Lake Rutoto in Rubirizi District.
A thorough police search at the suspects home,the detectives were able to recover Kentamine drugs,Chloroform,Syringes,Bandages,Electric wires that were used in the torture of Mambo.
DPC Entebbe SP.Mission Samuel advised the men and women to always carry out background checks before engaging into serious relationships because sometimes people withhold information or give half-truths or lie to protect themselves.
He further said it is important for one to know the type of person he/she are about to give their heart to.
