Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) secretary for mobilization Ingrid Turinawe last Tuesday tried to rescue her goat from police which was taken away  last year when she was taking it to Makerere University for a fundraising drive to help financially the then striking teaching staff of the university.

Though she managed to put up a strong fight, she was overpowered by police officers who again confiscated the innocent animal.

However, during weekend, Ingrid was treated to a surprise when people of Kanungu gifted her with three goats as a way of compensating for the taken one.

She wrote of Facebook page;

People of Kanungu surprised me by giving me what they called COMPENSATION. They told me, they were not happy with police stealing my goat, so they gave me three. They told me, to keep them safe, so that nobody touches on any of them again. They said it clear in Rukiga, HATAGIRA OWAGIKWATAHO. I am very grateful, MWEBALE MUNONGA OKUNSHUMBUSHA. Thank you so much #OTAGIKWATAHO.
