With the Egypt-Uganda World cup qualifier set for Tuesday at the Borg El Arab Stadium, indications are that Moses Basena’s boys are all looking forward to the match.

‘We are not under any pressure. We did our job back in Uganda and we are on another mission here in Alexandria. We have planned well for these fixtures. Let football do the talking on the pitch’ said Moses Basena told www.fufa.co.ug as he prepared to take his players for a 30 minute light walk around the magnificent Radisson Blu Hotel where the Uganda Cranes contingent is accommodated.

Every member of the contingent including the Leader of Delegation Hamid Juma and FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo took part in the walk around the spacious hotel premises as a sign of togetherness and for bonding purposes.

‘Sometimes such moments are good to relax. You don’t need to be confined in one place. Let us enjoy every bit while in Egypt with the Uganda Cranes in camp’ added Basena.

During the walk, Egyptian football fans were keenly tracking the team however with no inconveniences caused at all.

At the end of the light walk, Head coach Basena created another moment for further bonding that left every member of the contingent bursting into laughter where those selected would tap another person who would move into the inner part of the circle crated until the end of the exercise.

The FUFA President kicked off the as was handpicked by Basena.

The Uganda Cranes were later joined by the Uganda National Basketball team-Silverbacks who are camped in Alexandria for the Afrobasket to be hosted in Senegal and Tunisia.

The Minister of State for Sports Hon Charles Bakkabulindi, FUFA President, two captains Steve Omony (Basketball) and Denis Onyango (football) spokes on behalf of their respective teams.
