Due to the ongoing SIM card verification and registration process, Uganda Police has warned Uganddans to jealously keep their National ID numbers as a secret.
It says if not properly safeguarded, thugs may use them to register their lines which may be a troublesome experience for victims in case the lines are used to commit crimes.
“Keep your national ID number as a secret. Thugs may use it to register their lines” Police notice read.
