Just days after police arrested officials from Finance Ministry for allegedly soliciting a bribe from investors, the law enforcement team is at it again.
Today afternoon police has arrested State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations who is also Rubanda County MP Herbert Kabafunzaki for allegedly taking a shs30 million bribe from the proprietor of AYA,of AYA Group.
Kabafunzaki was netted red handed at Serena Hotel Kampala.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima confirmed the arrest.
According to Kayima,the minister was arrested along with Brian Mugabo, a clearing agent.
“The minister was allegedly soliciting a bribe from the proprietor of AYA,of AYA Group,” KMP mouthpiece asserted.
Recently,President Yoweri Museveni ‘launched’ a war on corrupt government officials and he vowedto clean the rotten system in government.
