Sanyu FM has refuted allegations that it has been sold off to another media house.

In statement, the station management said it is very much aware of the consistent allegations alluding to purported takeover of Sanyu FM by another media entity.

Hill Water

“Sanyu FM is the pioneer privately owned FM radio station in East and Central Africa and we have maintained the number one spot in catering to the niche urban market for 23 years now. Many have come, others have tried to replicate but Sanyu FM has always upheld its status as the top brand in the country,” Statement partly read.

“We therefore understand that the top radio brand in the country is under constant speculation of takeover considering the failure of competition to topple us or take on our identity,” Management noted.

The stations management further informed the public that Sanyu FM remains firmly under the ownership of Ruparelia Group of Companies.
