Singer Rema Namakula finally introduced her man, Dr Hamza Ssebunya in a traditional marriage ceremony that is still the talk of town.
The ceremony at the house of Rema’s parents in Nabbingo on Thursday 14, attracted the ‘who is who’ in the country including Nabagereka Sylvia Naginda, musicians, actors and comedians.
Rema dumped fellow singer Eddy Kenzo, with whom they have a daughter, for her new man – a gynecologist who reportedly worked on Rema during her pregnancy.
But before Rema, the doctor was in a relationship with a woman most believe is Rema’s doppelganger.
Betty Bukenya.
Betty later adopted the name ‘Bushira’ because she was set to marry a Hamza, a Muslim man, our sources have intimated.
It is believed that after picking up Rema, Ssebunya dumped Bukenya although she has dimples just like Rema. She is beautiful too.
According to sources, Bukenya and Ssebunya have been lovers since 2017. They met when Bukenya was pursuing her studies at Makerere University and at the same time working at his shop.
After her graduation, the pair held their traditional marriage and began living together in Bukoto in April 2017.
“But as time went on, Dr Sebunya’s attitude towards his wife Bukenya started changing and it’s believed that’s the time he started seeing Rema, his current fiancé,” a local online magazine reported.
It is believed that when Sebunya started seeing Rema, he stopped returning home. This is when she decided to return to her parents’ home in February 2019 only to hear that he was to marry the singer.
Before Bukenya, there were other women – Habiba and Desire – who gave birth to his two children.
