Comedy lovers are currently gearing up for July 25, after the management at Comedy Store Uganda confirming that they will be hosting Tanzania’s bongo flavor artiste Nasibu Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz on that day.
The singer will be the headline performer at the rib cracking comedy show that happens every Thursday at UMA grounds, Lugogo.
Through their social media platform on Tuesday, Comedy store confirmed that the Inama singer will be in the country for their weekly show.
“Tanzanian and East Africa’s top artiste Chibu Dangote aka @DiamondPlatnumz has confirmed hell be entertaining the #comedystoreug audience on Thursday 25 July 2019. Share with us your favorite song by this talented artiste from @Wcb-Wasafi. We’re listening. #DiamondInUG,” they shared.
Popularly known in Uganda as Zari’s ex-husband, and for songs like Nana, Marry You, Kidogo, Sikomi among others, this will be Platnum’s second performance in the country, as he first graced Uganda’s stage at the Kampala City Carnival in 2017.
According to Alex Muhangi, the CEO of Comedy Store Uganda, they are trying to give the best to their audience, and Platnumz and Eric Omondi from Kenya will give the best night to comedy lovers.
“We believe our audience deserves more than just entertainment. It’s got to be premium next week, TZ’s @DiamondPlatnumz will be headlining @ComedyStoreUG, Kenya’s @ericomondi too. Tell a friend,” he shared.
