Gospel artiste Martin Smith to headline Watoto Church Mega Praise Rally

Popularly known for songs like, I will sing, You are my Salvation, Safe in your arms, Great is your faithfulness, and Awake my soul  among others, this will be Smith's second visit to Uganda. His first was in May 2008 when he visited Watoto Children’s Choir.

Celebrated English Gospel artiste Martin James Smith will grace the Watoto Church Mega Praise Rally Saturday, January 19 at the church’s grounds in Kampala.

Popularly known for songs like, I will sing, You are my Salvation, Safe in your arms, Great is your faithfulness, and Awake my soul  among others, this will be Smith’s second visit to Uganda. His first was in May 2008 when he visited Watoto Children’s Choir.

The singer’s visit was confirmed by Watoto Church through twitter.

“The countdown is on. Only 5 days to the #Watoto#MegaPraiseRally in the PARKING LOT @WatotochurchDowntown. Award-winning worship artist, Martin Smith, will be joining us. Be expectants to see God’s hand move.” Watoto Church Tweeted.

Born on 6th July 1970, Martin Smith is an award winning gospel artiste, guitarist, songwriter and producer.  Smith first performed with a Christian Rock and Worship band in 1993 dubbed Delirious before becoming a solo artiste in 2009.

He is married and has six children with his wife Anne Smith. Thye both run a Charity dubbed Compassion Art, which aims at generating income from works of art to assist in giving back to the suffering and less privileged people.
