After a church service was held by the local music fraternity at St. Agnes Church in Makindye on Tuesday, artistes and friends and of the fallen Kadongo kamu legend Herman Basudde revealed there are more activities planned to remember Herman Basudde 21 years after his demise.
Another activity is planned to take place in Basudde’s village down in Bukomansimbi formely part of Masaka district. This will also take a form of a memorial that will include prayers and other rights to remember the star.
Basudde alongside the late Prince Paul Job Kafero are to date still considered the Kings of Kadongo Kamu with Fred Sebatta held in similar high regard although the genre has since fallen in fame and importance in the recent years.
A plan to renovate Basudde’s grave which eye witnesses say has been beaten by weather and age over the years is also on the cards as part of the activities to remember him.
