Singer Chris Evans announces plans to stand for MP

Soft spoken singer Chris Evans Kaweesi has joined the list of musicians who want to join politics.

While being interviewed by CBS radio’s Titie Tabel, Chris Evans revealed that he is going to stand for Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality Parliamentary seat in the next general elections in 2021.

The ‘silitagara’ hit singer said he is ready to serve the people of Makindye Ssabagabo especially the youth through creating job opportunities to beat the unemployment gap as well as improving the social services in the area.

The area is currently represented by Democratic Party’s Sempala Kigozi.

Other entertainers who have already revealed their political aspirations include, King Saha, Ronald Mayinja, Matthias Walukaaga, Mariam Ndagire, Patriko Mujuka among others.
