Over the weekend, Victoria University – Kampala treated 21 of their best performing students to a world class dinner at Fang Fang restaurant Kampala.
The students were part of the coveted ‘Vice Chancellor List’ which features those with CGPA of 4.4 and above in the last semester, according to the Academic Registrar, Mrs. M. G. Katusabe -Ssemwezi.
This event was graced by the university’s vice chancellor, Dr. Krishna N Sharma and members from the senior management team.
The students were also presented with a Certificate of Achievement. Out of the 21 Students, 11 were from faculty of Humanities and social science, four from faculty of Business and Management, two from Faculty of Science and Technology and four from Faculty of Health.Ms Alice Akurut, a student of Bachelor of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, “Saturday was lovely and I couldn’t have wished for anything better. Thank you for recognising our efforts and we hope it will be a motivation to others in turn.”
Akurut scored a CGPA of 5.0.
Victoria University currently has students from countries such as Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, India, South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda Burundi, Eritrea and Somalia and offers courses strategically focused at employment-oriented education.
