Uganda Tourism bosses, including minister stuck in Germany after airport staff go on strike

After a very busy week Marketing Uganda at ITB Berlin expo, Uganda Tourism bosses and Cabinet Minister for Tourism Ephraim Kamuntu who led the delegation are stuck in Germany after Airport Staff go on strike.

The ITB Berlin Expo ended yesterday on Sunday after five days of showcasing. Uganda was well presented since it was named fifth best exhibitor in African Category.

However, the team which made sure that the country is well presented is stranded on the foreign land not sure when they will come back to their motherland due to the ongoing strike by Airport Staff for reasons yet to be identified.

According to our source, even Brussels Airline which is supposed to bring delegates home has abandoned them only promising a rescheduled booking.

“Amazingly even our dear Airline Brussels has abandoned their passengers and only promise a rescheduled booking. Not a single staff of theirs is here to even attend to us,” Source said.
